A Little Gem offers an ideal base to explore and enjoy all that the area offers to its visitors.
On the edge of England's latest National Park, the New Forest, you will find wonderful walks,
cycle paths, wild life, and of course its famous New Forest ponies.
Lovely walks can be had from A Little Gem: down Pennington Lane and onto the marshes where a
wide variety of bird-life can be found. You can also walk across the marshes to Keyhaven and out
to Hurst Castle or take the little ferry boat if you prefer from Keyhaven to Hurst Castle.
The other direction takes you to the seaside
town of Milford-on-Sea, the Hordle Cliffs, and the
RSPB Bird Reserve of Keyhaven. Keen walkers can
get to all these sights along the Solent Way.
